Ways to Clean Your Pet

Do you have an outdoors bath routine, or just a pup that would rather do anything than get soaked with clean water? You’re not alone! That’s why we’re going to take a look at some great ways to keep your furry friends clean without a proper bath.

A full soak or spray-down might be necessary when your pup is covered in mud, but for the most part, it’s enough to just keep him well-groomed and smelling nice. Luckily, there are a number of ways to do this!

First and foremost, make sure that you’re keeping your pup brushed regularly. Use a soft brush at least once a week to get all of the dust and loose hair out of your dog’s coat. More frequent brushing may be required for dogs with longer or thicker fur.

Next, clean your dog’s ears and paws. These places can build up yeast and start to smell, but this can be easily prevented by gently wiping these areas regularly.

Reduce odors by using a dog dry shampoo in between baths. These shampoos are designed to keep your pup’s coat healthy and smelling fresh!

Don’t have dog dry shampoo at home? You can make one of your own by mixing together two to three tablespoons of cornstarch with three to four tablespoons of baking soda. Massage this powder into your dog’s coat, and then brush away the excess powder.

The best way to keep your dog clean between baths is to keep the environment he lives in clean! Regularly wash your pup’s bedding and toys, and avoid dirt, mud and puddles when going for walks.

Is your pup in need of a proper bath? Make sure that you’re providing the best winter bath experience by keeping the water and bathroom nice and warm, and having warm towels ready to absorb all the extra water on his fur!
