"We hired Airpets International to ship our corgi from San Antonio Texas to Doha Qatar. It was not an easy process to gather all the required paperwork that Qatar needs to import pets, but our coordinator was very helpful, responsive, and understanding. I requested to have a direct flight and no layovers and she made it happen. We received our dog safe and happy and that's what matters. Thank you AirPets International!"

The Benefits of AirPets’ Cat & Dog Crates for Air Travel

IATA-Compliant

Our decades of industry experience mean we are very familiar with the International Air Transport Association's Live Animal Regulations. We verify every crate we provide for our pet parents meets these strict requirements so your pet remains safe and secure during their flight.

Options for Pets of All Sizes

At AirPets, we have a wide range of pre-constructed crates for pets, but also provide custom-built crates to meet the needs of extra large breeds like great danes or mastiffs. We will assess your pet's height, length, width, and weight to determine which crate option is best.

A Safe & Comfortable Ride

For your pet to travel in the air, they must be able to stand, sit, turn around and lie comfortably in a natural position. We will help you complete all the necessary measurements, then choose a crate (or modify one) to meet the needs of any pet. This ensures a safe and comfortable ride.

What Types of Pet Travel Crates Does AirPets Offer?

Pre-Constructed IATA-Compliant Crates

We offer a full range of fiberglass crates with metal screws that meet all of International Air Transport Association's (IATA) Live Animal Regulations (LAR). These crates are leak proof, have spacers all around the crate to ensure ventilation is not restricted, and have a single door. We only offer crate brands and options that we have verified all flight requirements are met, meaning you don't have to worry about whether you purchased the correct size or type of crate.

Custom-Built Pet Travel Crates

Customized wooden crates are typically required if your dog is extra large, like a great dane or mastiff, a restricted breed like a dogo Argentina, or a powerful chewer like a pit bull. In these cases, we will get custom measurements and then have a crate built that meets Live Animal Regulations but keeps your pet comfortable and safe during their flight. In these instances, we will assess your pet's height, length, weight, and width to ensure the crate is tailor-made for them.

Crate Selection Guidance

At AirPets, we understand both safety and cost are important to pet owners. For this reason, we are happy to provide guidance on crate selections for those individuals who prefer to price compare across multiple platforms. Keep in mind that AirPets does not assume responsibility for any crates not purchased directly from us, and purchasing a crate that is sized incorrectly or doesn't meet regulations may result in your pet being rejected at the airport.

"I have appreciated the time and work that Daniel at AirPets has spent on my needs. I had to cancel initial plans and am re-working current plans. They email and call as needs dictate. Very timely and responsive."
