Parks, beaches and trails

There are 14 off leash dog parks and 2 off leash beaches in San Diego where dogs are allowed at all times. In addition, many other parks allow dogs on leash before 9am and after 6pm. City Park Rangers and park users ask that dog owners pick up after their dogs, and “leave only paw prints behind.”

Dogs are allowed on Fiesta Island and Dog Beach off leash at any time during park hours.

The San Diego Bay Parade of Lights is held two consecutive Sundays each year in  December. The Parade proceeds from
Shelter Island past Harbor Island, the Embarcadero, Seaport  Village, and Ferry Landing in Coronado. Dozens of vessels of every shape and size participate in the San Diego Bay Parade of Lights each year. You and your dog can join the parade if you have a boat or watch from seaport village.
